Daniel Flaig, Initiator
Private-equity expert
Daniel Flaig has worked with Georg Oehm in different capacities for 14 years. Since 2008, they have worked together at Mellinckrodt. Daniel is an internationally renowned expert in the private-equity industry. He is CEO and managing partner at Capvis AG, the largest Swiss-based private-equity firm, and has been active in the PE industry since 1995, always in the same team. He has vast experience in structuring management buyouts in the DACH* region with a focus on industrial and technology companies. Previously, he worked at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting in Zurich and started his PE career at SBC Equity Partners in 1995. Presently, he holds offices at the companies Arena, Hess Natur, and Kaffee Partner (on the board of directors and advisory board respectively). He served as chairman and vice chairman of Uster Technologies, Wuerttembergische Metallwarenfabrik (WMF), VAT, and Bartec. Daniel Flaig holds a Master’s Degree in Management from Stanford University as well as a Lic. Oec. Degree from the University of St. Gallen (HSG). Last IPO transaction: VAT Group AG in April 2016 (EV of approximately 1.5 billion euro) together with the Partners Group at the Swiss Stock Exchange.
Georg Oehm, Initiator & Chairman of the Board
Stock market and behavioral-finance expert
Georg Oehm founded Mellinckrodt & Cie, in Zug, Switzerland, in 2008. He served as general manager and partner in a financial communications boutique in Frankfurt am Main, founded the CFD Association e.V. and served as its first general manager. He worked in business development and in the M&A business at the Metallgesellschaft AG for five years, followed by a five-year tenure in the field of special restructuring projects. From 2011, he was a member of the administrative board at the Zenergy Power Plc and at the Synety Group Plc from April 2011 to January 2016. Dr. Oehm serves as chairman of the advisory board at InCity Immobilien AG. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Kiel, department of economics and social sciences. He started his career as a banking apprentice at the Dresdner Bank in Frankfurt am Main. Subsequently, he earned a degree in business administration in Mainz and Kiel.
Delphine Flaig, Board Member
Delphine Flaig earned her Master’s degree in Advanced Studies in Real Estate at the Universität Zürich (University of Zurich), CUREM. She has worked at the Schindler Management AG from 2001 to 2013. Her responsibilities included management of the treasury services and the family office of A.N. Schindler, special tasks as well as membership in the governing body of the Schindler pensions fund. During her tenure at Belimo Automaten AG from 1994 to 2000, she initially served as assistant to the CFO and subsequently as group controller. She completed her degree program in Toulouse, France; St. Gallen, Switzerland; and Paris, France. She earned her Master’s Degree in Business and Economics with a major in Finance at the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP).
Hans-Jörg Oehm, Board Member
Hans-Jörg Oehm is an architect and city planner. He served as the director of city development of the city of Freiburg/Breisgau, Germany, in the field of city planning and as general manager of the largest urban developer for residential real estate (more than 15,000 apartments), parking garages, public pools operations, and event venues. For ten years, he served as a board member of several property endowments of the catholic archdiocese of Freiburg, Germany.
